Although LCC may offer lower base fares, once you factor in the various services required for international travel, the total cost often ends up being similar to other airlines. In addition, most LCC depart from Narita Airport, Tokyo. While getting to Haneda Airport from central Tokyo costs around 500JPY, taking a limited express train to Narita can cost 2,000-3,000JPY.
