Smoking and any other use of open flame is prohibited in order to prevent fires on board.
All lavatories are equipped with smoke detectors. If they are activated, the aircraft might be forced to return to the departure airport or make an emergency landing at the nearest airport. Smoking on board is strictly prohibited in order to ensure a safe flight.
Persisting in or repeatedly smoking in the lavatory even after being ordered to stop by the captain will result in a fine of up to JPY 500,000.
Use of Any Type of Electronic Cigarettes or Smokeless Tobacco are Prohibited
Flameless smoking devices such as electronic cigarettes or smokeless tobacco are prohibited, as their use on board may disturb other passengers or cause misunderstandings or anxiety.
