Q.
What is an emergency exit row seat?
A.
It is a row of seats by an emergency exit at the rear of the aircraft. A sign indicating that it is an emergency exit row seat is places near the row. At the check-in counter and in the cabin, Skyline Airlines informs passengers seated by an emergency exit that they may be asked to assist the cabin crew in case of an emergency evacuation. We give a leaflet outlining our requests to passengers seated at an exit row seat. Our cabin crew will give specific instructions when assistance is necessary.
If you are seated in an emergency exit row seat and are for some reason unable to offer assistance during an evacuation, please do not hesitate to notify the cabin crew.
Q.
What are the details of assistance?
A.
We will give passengers specific instructions when assistance is required. But the basic details are as follows:
Keep other passengers clear of the emergency exit door until the cabin crew securely opens it.
Open the emergency exit in the case that the cabin crew is unable to open it.
Assist other passengers who are sliding down by holding out your hands to assist them at the bottom of the escape chute. (Tell the other passengers to "Run far away!"). Guide other passengers with the cabin crew at the exit for evacuation.
